Has anyone ever used a Flexible PVC Coupling like this one from home depot?

I have a CADLights tank, and the plumbing is an absolute nightmare. The final output part of the return is too short so I get a constant water flushing noise. Because they use Metric UPVC, instead of the standard schedule 40 PVC finding a solution to allow me to add more pipe to the return has been quite the challenge. I found these while looking for additional fittings at home depot. I was able to secure it to the CADlights plumbing by simply screwing it in. Feels pretty secure to me.

Has anyone ever used one?

I have used them in a pond situation to isolate vibration. Might be good on an aquarium to help with the potential cracking of the tank at the drilled port. They do pretty well but I wouldn't use it where there is any back pressure unless you are connecting to a ribbed fitting. I have had them slip off of a smooth fitting when I got some back pressure. They are also not UV resistant.

Well it will slip over and secure to the CADLights plumbing in the drain line. So for me, it’s working so far!
