Just to better illustrate:
the internal frame sits on top of the tank edge. The outside panels extend about 1 1/4“ below the tank edge on the sides and front. This allows me to slide the canopy forward to access the AIO chambers and skimmer.

Well since we have another contest and you get extra entries for weekly updates—here we go.
the only thing going on is regular maintenance and feeding. However, looking back on this thread, I realized I did a poor job showing off my new canopy build, so here’s a couple of full tank shots and one of the lights mounting inside. Dog and bird for bonus points.

Just a quick update:
The good: tank parameters continue to remain fairly stable and most corals are doing well. I had a couple of Zoa frags that have been looking ticked for a couple of weeks so I pulled them for an iodine dip. They look much better now.
The bad: the minor bubble algae infestation, which is limited to a couple of rocks on one side of the tank continues. We are siphoning what we find and we beefed up CUC (emerald crabs) to help keep it managed. We also found more Aiptasia anemones In the DT. Unfortunately they will require us removing quite a bit of rock work to get to them. We got a peppermint shrimp and put him in the refugium, which had three anemones there and the shrimp made short work of them. We will be moving him to the DT in a week or two.
The ugly: I found and removed a couple of red flatworms that were on my front glass. I expect there’s more. I’m looking at options to treat.

A sixline or a pajama wrasse are your best option for red flatworms. Good luck. I love my sixlines over the years. I have never seen a flatworm in any of my tanks. I’m sure some have hitchhiked in but were quickly consumed.

What kind of wrasse is that?This week I added a Tunze 3152 ATO. We also added a new inhabitant—Bubble Tip Anemone. In typical Anemone fashion, he promptly abandoned the prime piece of real estate I set aside for him, slid down a crevice and planted his foot on the neck of my feather duster.

Been a bit since I’ve updated.
our biggest change was to the rock work. We pulled about 8Lbs of the dry rock we had started with and replaced it with an 8Lbs Treasure Chest fro TBS. Most of our rock when we started was live rock, but there was only a limited amount available at the time, so we supplemented with Dry. As my wife and I both grew up in the Tampa Bay Area, it was fun to add a touch of home to the tank. Tank is coming up on 9 months now And everything seems to be chugging along.

This last month has been a whole lot of routine. We‘ve only done standard maintenance with no major changes. This weekend we visited Reefapalooza in Dallas and we scored a number of new inhabitants; a psammacora, goni, button scoly, a nice mushroom, and a gorgonian.

My tank is now at 11 months. parameters continue to hold stable and all tank denizens seem to be well. No big plans at this point—just enjoying the tank

At the end of this month the tank will be one year old. I’ve made no recent changes to tank equipment, but I have added a few corals. I added three blastos—one Wellsi I picked up at Coral Vault at their Haslet store and Two merletti’s from @Tidal Gardens. Along with the Blastos, I also picked up a very large Rock Flower Anemone from Tidal Gardens as well.

One year ago today, we added the water to our brand new Fluval Flex. I knew when I set it up that it was a starter tank and that I would be making some changes to it. One year later and (I believe) I am about finished with upgrades. Now, we watch stuff grow.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated my thread. I haven’t really added anything new, but my Bourne’s anemone did. It crawled to the back corner of the tank and split. Now I have two. Apologies for the poor picture below, but it moved to a rather dark and inaccessible location. The new one is to the bottom right of the original
