Any preferences out there? Setting up a 120 glass, mixed reef and it's time to retire the Magfloat. Am leaning Tunze, due to the design which with care, should result in little or no scratches. Not sure whether I should go with the Tunze "long" or "strong" and would appreciate any advice.
Thanks.

I have watched all of the vids and scratches with Flipper or Tunze are likely if you are not really careful. I think Tunze seems to be safer. Did the pad side of Flipper scratch your glass?

I have decided on Tunze, just not sure of the size. I am only interested in the blade section. Go to YouTube if you are not familiar with it!

Tunze care magnet... never had any scratches.
+1, I've had mine from when they first came out and they're great. No scratches on my tank. The Tunze design eliminates the sand, etc, from getting under the scrapper. Magnets are strong so be careful;)

I have the long on 12mm, close to 1/2", glass and it works great. They have them for glass and acrylic.

Large Magfloat with blade scratched my 180 all glass. switched to Flipper. Love it. Just wish it would float.

The side with the razor blade scratched it all really bad.

Tunze has plastic blades and the inner bar has no place for sand to stick.A bit finicky at times but as long as you watch the wet side, you should be able to clean below the sand as well. The magnet is incredibly strong so watch your fingers on the larger models as mentioned above.the only gripe I have is that I wished they made the dry handle a bit larger to grip.

I agree with the Tunze, I just wish the freaking thing floated. Not a glass cleaning goes by that I don't end up using my Kent scraper to retrieve the wet-side.

I agree.
The downside though is it would cost a lot more.
They'd have to license the floating wet side idea from I believe Mag Float.
