So I bought these ZooMed magnetic mounts for my float switches connected to a breakout box on my apex.

I was struggling for 2 hours as my apex would not recognize the close/open state of the float switches.

I then took off the magnetic mounts and tried again and it worked flawlessly opening/closing on the apex.

I am guessing the magnets are interfering with the float switch.

Is there anyway to work around this? I'm not able to return these magnets and I bought 3 of them.

The tunze ato's float switch are able to be mounted right on the magnet so I'm not sure these ones can not

what kind of float switches are you trying to mount? is there a possibility to use the magnet away from the actual float, as in on the wires leading to the float or run the wires through a small pvc pipe or straw and mount to that?

I'm using the typical float switches like this and I placed the ring in between the nut and bolt for a secured fit.

Unfortunately I am not able to clip the wire as the wire is too thin

if they are not wired up or can be disconnected, a piece of power head tubing slipped over the wires with a zip tie on the wires as they come out of the tube would provide a anchor for the clamps i just used the zip tie to anchor this one because the bottom of the tube slips over the top of the float switch snail guard
