Float Switch Questions

I have the digital aquatics float switch kit and due to lack of directions from DA, I have some questions on how to set it up.

How do I connect the float switch's wire to the extension wire? (DA calls is "Switch adapter kit") Do I have to strip the wires and connect them? Or can I just slide the wires from the float switch into the wires on the extension?

I am assuming I mount this on the side of the sump that water enters? (Left side of the baffles, when water is moving from left to right, not the return pump side) Correct?

I'm can't remember exactly but you need an sl1 to control the ato and the little plastic connectors for the end of the float switches. I got a float switch on eBay for 3.99 shipped, spliced it into an extension cord threw it in the return section of the sump (you want to put it here because its the only place the water level varies ) and use a Tom aquatics aqua lifter to push the water in. The float switch wires can be connected to the "switch adapter kit" by just twisting the wires together. Ypu may need to strip the ends so that they make contact. Some electrical tape or a wire nut (or both) would be a nice touch. You would then plug the switch kit adapter plug ("molex plug") into your Reef Keeper SL1 module. The float switch would be mounted in the return section, which is where the water level would fluctuate.
