Looking into getting a float switch for the sump tank so that if I am gone for a weekend I don't have to worry. New to the hobby, heard alot about getting one and then heard where you don't need one. What is a good one if so? Please help

First off @briedenauer WELCOME to R2R. If you have DIY skills, I just did a DIY ATO write-up HERE.

Otherwise, take a look at AquaHub kits for simple assembly, or go for an already assembled unit.....such as a JBJ or Tunze or any number of other units.

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate all the help i can get. My father in law has an 180 gal. Coral, everything and is helping me build my own. He has been doing tanks for 20+ yrs. I am just trying to figure some things out on my own without asking for his help entirely. Thus the float switch idea.
