I am planning out a water mixing station using Brute 55 gallon cans. I would like to use mechanical a mechanical float valve to shut off my RO/DI. Is there a way to do this without drilling the wall of the brute and installing a bulkhead. I am thinking of something like the Eshopps RO/DI float valve kit but I am pretty sure it will not work on the brute.

Biggest piece of garbage on the market. Don't waste your money.

I used this with no bulkhead required, but you do have to drill the brute.

When I was using a brute can before I built my mixing station, I drilled the brute and installed the float valve. However, in some of my sumps with gravity-fed ATOs I didn't want to drill the sumps so I mounted the BRS float valve to egg crate. You could potentially rig something similar. Your challenges include the rounded edge of the brute can, creating a stable mount, and still have the float on one side of the bracket and the RO tubing on the other side of the bracket.

Not sure why the OP doesn't want to drill the brute? But a bulkhead is not needed for a float valve.
This will be installed in my office. I am only there 2 days a week and I worry about any potential leaks. Just trying to minimize risk.

Not sure that magnet will work with the curve of the brute. I also already have an ATO so I don't need all the extra parts.

The float valve has a rubber gasket on the inside part like a mini bulkhead. Just drill a 1/2 hole and tighten down the nut. No worries on leaking.
