So I noticed I have these floating particles (hopefully pic shows it properly) on the surface of the water of my cycling tank. Not sure what it is, any ideas?

I’ve put Dr Tim’s Ammonia chloride in, Brightwell XLM nitrifying bacteria, I have arrogonite substrate, 20lbs of dry rock, and 8lbs of the purple LifeRock.

Did you rinse your substrate prior to putting it in the tank . It might just be particulate from the rock or substrate

Yeah, I rinsed it a BUNCH of times actually

I rinsed the h e double toothpicks out of everything when I started also. There was still more mess left behind. HoB filter with some floss or filter socks in the sump will clean it up.
