Hey all, so I have a crystal 30 trigger sump and in the refugium section my sea lettuce is floating and clogging the drain to the return section, if I use egg crate to hold it down will that greatly reduce par? My refugium light is a kessil h80 so it isnt the strongest. Anyone have any other solutions they can recommend? Thanks!

Ulva floats. Its what it likes.
With that sump I assume its clogging at the teeth. To keep it away from your teeth you can get another piece of that spaghetti mat BRS calls it Aquamesh

Cut a piece so it fits tight across the sump before the teeth. this will allow water but keep the ulva from clogging the teeth
You could also do this with egg create. It might clog too.

Something like this? I just did it with egg crate because I have some on hand, awesome idea though let's hope this works!

i am using coarse(black) matala sheet to keep it from moving to the skimmer section works great for me.

How did this fix work? I have to do the same thing as my sea lettuce is also clogging my trigger system sump overflow holes
