Floaty water

All fish are scouted for :( man that sucks
Should a make a 15 gallon water change and add some prime tonigth or should I let it go down

I would stop looking to dump solutions into the tank. I would just do weekly water changes FAITHFULLY for the next 8 weeks and monitor.

I also see elevation in your ammonia which tells me you are in cycle. Please test for NITRITES. With your ammonia that high and zero nitrates, I'd bet you will get a nitrite reading.

What may help... try adding some bottled bacteria to the tank. With the information you've posted, I think your nitrifying bacteria colony is too small to handle the bio load. A drop in ammonia is an indication that your nitrifying bacteria colony is growing.

U guys think that will help just to remove the fish ?
No. The bacteria will catch up, but maybe bacteria in a bottle AFTER you do a large water change. Fritz 900 comes to mind for quick results.

If your fish aren't showing signs, then just preventative maintenance would be the best option...the options I mentioned above.

Like others have said

1. Waterchange. do this regularly for best chances at success.
2. Take it slow, I am guessing your tank isnt even cycled so your fish are essentially having their gills burnt by the toxic ammonia/nitrites
3. Waterchange. When in doubt, waterchange. It never hurts to do a simple 5 gallon WC. or even 10 Gallons.

Looking more long term, do some reading/watch videos on how to cycle and care for a reef tank. Maybe look into upgrading test kits to something better than API as well.

You seemed to have added a lot of fish or maybe killed all your bacteria somehow if your tank has been up a year and you have ammonia. I’m only a few months into saltwater but I’m very familiar with the nitrogen cycle. Ammonia is the most toxic to the fish it’s harmful. Then comes nitrites which is less harmful but still toxic and then nitrates. Everyone’s opinion on nitrates are different some people say keep them below 5 and some people say there’s have been 40 for years and everything still is great in their tank so that differs. But the one thing that’s very common and everyone can agree on is don’t skimp on your water changes. Unless you have a crazy established system and all the fancy dosing stuff (sorry I don’t know a whole lot about that stuff) you need to do your water changes. Make sure you’re adding the correct amount of prime and I definitely recommend using RODI water. If you can’t use prime and let the water sit overnight idk why but that’s just what I did in the beginning before I got a RODI unit. Hope everything works out and I would buy some bacteria. I used biological booster from petco and it worked for me but no two tanks are alike. Good luck!

Amonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrates 10
Oh 8.2
Tank cleared up yesterday fish and coral were happy all day
No dead snails or crabs

I have a rodi unit so I always use 0 ppm water nothing else
I always test once a week my tests always come out
On amonia 0
Nitrates between 5 and 20 anything above I make a water change but never happens
Rarely happen
Phosphates come out at 0.02
I have a we’ll establish refuigium where I grow lots a macro
I did make the mistake of adding fish first time ever mistake
As I been in the hobby for years and I am sad to say I make mistakes but tank is back to normal without water change but I am still going to make one of 25 gallons tonigth
