So I started leak testing my new 150g and to my horror I noticed that water was draining mostly to one side of the display. I got out a level and it looks like the right side of my 5ft tank is 1/16th of an inch higher than the other. Did some more snooping and it's not the tank or the stand; it's the floor. We braced the floor underneath so I suspect this is just normal settling.

I wouldn't think twice about this on a smaller tank, but this one will weigh almost a ton fully filled. Should I be worried?

Thanks in advance for the help!

1/16” is not much over 5 feet

shim between the floor and stand until it's as level as desired.

I agree that 1/16th over 5 feet is barely anything.

depends if it gets worse or not. How did you brace the floor underneath? single story with a crawlspace?

Thanks for the posts and advice! I bought a better level and the deviation is closer to 1/8''. I'll probably get some shims for the low corner. :(

This tank is on the main floor over a basement, perpendicular to the joists and pretty close to the main load bearing walls for the house. It'd probably be fine as is but we braced the floor just in case by adding a wall directly underneath it (2 jack posts and a bunch of 2x4's to frame it in).

Ok, if you braced underneath it then it could be just the slope of the floor before you added the tank. If that the case shim away!
