Floor strength for 625 xxl

My 625 XXL gets here Friday! Let's talk floor strength. It will be going on the floor right above my garage, against a wall that is supported by concrete. Somewhat new home (90s).

I hear two things: As long as your home isn't ancient and everything is in good condition, you are fine. Or. If you don't reinforce your floor with metal forged in the fiery bowels of hell by the gods that no longer slumber, it will collapse and destroy your house.

Do I need to be concerned here?

General rule of thumb is as long as it’s perpendicular to the joists and close to a wall (especially outside wall) then it’s fine but obviously every situation is different. What are we talking anyway with a sump .... 1200/1300 lbs?

Sump will be going a floor down, so that helps the weight a little.

I just set up a 625 as well. Tank assembly bare with water is 2060 lbs
