I took this pic looking up at the floor joist in the basement to see what you guys think about me adding more support. I added 2x8's before putting up my 215 and so far so good. The red rectangle in the pic represents the 300 gallon tank. As you can see, the tank does not sit on top of the steel I beam. Its probably 2-3 inches off. That's how my current 215 is now. I'm hoping that I can sister more 2x8's instead of adding them across the current ones now with lally columns. So what do you think? Will the floor be OK if I add more 2x8's by sistering them? Or, is it fine the way it is now? the span of the steel I beam is 14 feet.

Not real sure but the numbers add out to an additional 709.95 lbs of water alone. any of you construction gooroos out there know what the specs on lally colums are? Sorry I could not help anymore.
