Yo I have some florescent orange in my tank on rocks. I've read that it is ok, just a different type of algae. Coraline overtakes it fast. I've also read that it is coraline dying. Anyone know the real deal? I cant send pictures because it's too small.

Does it fluoresce under blue light?

I have an occasional bright pick spots that fluoresce. But it's just an odd spot here and there and never seems to be an issue.

Another possibility is a rock boring sponge. We see it in some spots we snorkel in the Florida Keys. It's always very small orange spots, but it can become almost a mat made up of small spots when allowed to grow over long periods of time.

It's florescent with and without blue. Small patches the size of a pea or so

I have these orange dots. They grow like Coraline algae.
