Hey guys so I can home to what appeared to be a normal looking Ricordea. A couple hours passed and it looks like this now. I had it placed in a low light low flow area of my tank since I got it. Will someone educate me?

Water temp is 79
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 2 ppm
Phosphate .25ppm
Ph 8.0
Salinity 1.026

Phosphates are high;) Let get used to your system, this my take a couple of days

They close up sometimes or shrivel up, all my shrooms do this a few times a day and more so at night.

Looks OK, maybe just a little bit light hungry? Csn you slide it out into just a bit more light and see what happens? My Florida are in medium light and flourishing but my Yuma seems to like the shade. Mind you, this is anecdotal.

This is exactly what I did. I moved it about 4 inches toward the center of my tank. It looks much better

I might be experiencing the exact problem you have experienced.

Over the past 2-3 weeks I noticed my Ricordea mushrooms have been shrinking, and down right disappearing. Yes, I said disappearing all together.

My CA, MG, and dKh are all within specks for a ULM mixed reef tank.

I have to dose with Red Sea Reef Energy A & B because mu nutrients level are very low...0.25 phosphate, and 0.125 nitrates.

I have them placed on the bottom of my tank with not much flow, because that's the recommended location for them based on what i have read across multiple sites including Live Aquaria, World Wide Corals, and Ultimate corals, ETC.

I also dose with ATI Essentials PRO to ensure adequate amount of trace elements are available in the system.

Any help/suggestion for correcting this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Other softies are doing great.
