I purchased a single ricordea but it has 3 mouths. Im assuming I can simply cut in between the mouths and create 3 smaller rics, right?

I just did this last week. Cut a ric (and a brown mushroom) halfway down through the mouth. Within three days, the ric halves had turned into circles again. With one mouth visible. Amazing how fast they heal. Other mushroom is getting there but not as fast as the ric.

I have those, never cut them, they reproduce almost invasive for me.

Thank you for the response. I figured they were just like other shrooms but wanted to ask. Typically when I cut a shroom I go through the mouth and create 2 equal portions but never really had rics with multiple mouths.

I’ve never seen that either. Do you have pics? Supposedly you can even cut mushrooms up like a pie. But I’ve never tried it
