Is it normal for my AC flounder to be under the sand? his fin is pictured below.

Various types of flounder will normally partially or nearly completely bury themselves. Just what they do as a means to blend in and hide from predators.

Yep. They use their flat bodies to swish sand up and cover themselves, much like a stingray.

Yeah youll rarely see them outside of feeding time. Its like a game of i spy to try to find them every day haha
