I have 2 koralia 2's 600gph in my 40 breeder....have had them for a year...does'nt seem to be enought flow, some dead spots in the tank
As for my lighting i have a marineland 24 hour lighting system 4 39w t5s and one 150w mh
had stock legs and is about 3 inches above the top of the tank....i think i needs to be higher up.......how high should i hang it???

The flow seems good, you just may have to play with the direction to get the most around the rocks. As for the lighting, I would build a bracket that suspended the light. The bracket would just support the light fixture. Tack some sides and doors on the bracket and instant open top canopy. If this isn't an option, maybe try taking the fixture apart, drilling 2 holes per side, and suspending the fixture from the ceiling using common hooks for decorations and some thin flexible coated wire. Just my .02, but maybe another person will chime in with ideas. Good luck

with regards to the flow if you don't think it's enough it most likely isn't imo! I had 2 koralias 600 + 1 1200 on my 46 bowfront for a year also they took up space and I got dead spots like you mentioned. I upgraded to 1 mp10... worked better than the 3 koralias and recently bought a second one... and am very happy with them.....fyi I am downgrading to a 40b in a couple months will use same pumps.
on the lights..I've always used t5 so can't say much there.. but imo if you are using mh there should min be 6+ inch. if not more!... the t5 you could keep at 3-6 in.
