Has this happened to any one?

Cleaned my Red Sea Reef Waves. Can I say a little neglected.Covered with the most beautiful coralline algae. But wait there's more the impellers were covered with hair alage. Now I know why my snails didn't leve the wave makes, and they were are gorgeously cover in beautiful pinks and purples.

Wave makers were barley if not not moving at all.Very tedious job cleaning them and Citrus Acid isn't as great when coralline alage is built up.

Anyway, there clean and flowing great. But one of my torches don't seem to like it and hasn't fully opened up.One has but the other when the flow was low, they both opened up fully.
Now only one blooming but it still isn't at the max compared to lower flower.I've adjusted and angled the best I can it seems un happy.
Any advise would be great.

Soak them overnight in the proper concentration of citric acid and you could have probably just blasted them off with a high pressure nozzled hose.

stuff is like magic!

In regards to the torch. Let it ride unless it continues to receed and show skeleton

Yea, I use CA but didn't do a over night soak.its funny becasue I only had have hair alage inside the wave maker ans the propeller. No where else in the tank.I guess my clean up crew, starry bleeny ans sailfin are doing there job Thanks I'm keeping fingers cross.
