Flow for a 20 long

I have a 20 long with softies and am wondering about flow?? I have one hydor in there now and it's only 245gph I think and I'm getting hair algae and cyano.. I know that's not the cause of it but it doesn't help that I have dead spots so I was wondering what the recommended gph would be for the tank and placement. Thanks

I had a 240 and 450 plus the HOB flow and I really have to recommend a hob refugium for nutrients.

Might be a little strong, maybe. I didnt have it in the 20g. I have it in my 30 cube 20x20x18. worst case you can put a sponge on it. I really like mine btw.

I added the jebao pp4 and keep at lowest setting on "else" with minimal rock structure and gsp and a few button polyps. Perfect for what I have

It's a 20Long. It can be too much if turned up, but my clowns seem to be doing well as well as my softies. I have it pointed more up than out and great agitation on surface.

is that in a 20g? I wasnt sure it would work.

Ok so if the one I'm looking at is 530gph I should just point it up higher and have my 240 on the other side if the tank??

Jeboa PP4!!! I have two in my 12g, but I really don't need two. One would be perfect. I'll never go back to AC pumps that aren't controllable

At 530gph, I wouldn't add anything else

Ok the only reason I'm going higher is because the 240 doesn't really do much at the other end of the tank.. Alot of stuff just piles up on the rocks
