Flow for a 72x12x12 "bookshelf" tank

Building a header fuge for a new system. It will be a 72x12x12 above a 6 foot 125 gallon display. Because of the dimensions of the tank I'm not sure how to arrange flow both from a return pump standpoint as well as powerheads. I was thinking about a RO Varios 2, but I'm not sure if it'll provide enough flow against the 6 foot head as well as drive flow to a separate "cryptic" fuge(which will be under the tank beside the main sump).

Powerheads are another issue as the tank is so long but doesn't need a lot of flow I think just sufficient throughout the entire length. An MP10 on each end might work, but I'm open to other ideas.

I would consider bringing flow up on one side and down the other to create a little gyre flow through the system. 3 MP10's along the back should provide great non-linear flow allowing you to grow anything in there.
 
The notion of 72x12x12 and 'bookshelf' made me chuckle - thank you for that :D. Better be one heck of a 'bookshelf' .......

Yeah , plenty of reinforcement going to happen between full cleat on the back and sides and heavy duty shelf brackets attached to studs it should be OK.

I hadn't thought about making the flow from the sump through the tank linear almost like a hillstream freshwater tank. Has some interesting possibilities. 3 mp10s seems a bit overkill for what is essentially a 44 gallon tank. Initially I was thinking of the two MP10s on opposite ends running in a counter ramping arrangement(ie as one ramps up to say 50% the other is ramping down from 50 and they constantly trade back and forth). Placing them on the back wall keeps the dry side hidden but means they are only about 10 or 11 inches from the front panel so the flow would be a bit different I would think.

The problem with the MP10's isn't total flow, it is reach. If you put one on each end you will have great flow on those ends but very little flow in the middle 2 feet. It is a challenge to get flow to the middle of a 6 ft tank without either blasting the sides. I had a more traditional 6' tank with MP40's on each side and ended up adding another powerhead on the back wall in the middle because I had almost no flow there.
