Flow for my 180G... Revamping setup. Input appreciated.

Looking for some input please.

180g = 67" long x 26" deep x 24" high.

I have two MP40s to use as needed. Or sell to find something else.

I'm thinking MP40s on each end. A gyre on the back wall as pictured, and use flow from my return pump to take care of right/center side.

Any suggestions on a good gyre? Never used one before. Good plan? Another MP40 on back wall instead? Ideas? Thanks!

I’d go with one of these two options if I had your setup.

1. Two Gyre 250 on the sides with the 40s on the back wall.

2. Buy two more 40s and have two on sides and two on the back.

Looks like it’s gonna be a nice setup. Good luck with everything.

I guess Gyre 350s since they are the latest and greatest.

350’s on the ends, 330’s or the icecap 3K on the back walls. Keep the map 40’s for near the bottom to keep the floor swept.

I have 150 gal tall, I'm using 2 icecap gyre 3k, and jeboa return pump dc-18000 (4000 gph or somthing like that).
all pump at 50% and it still cause sandstorm so imagin how much flow I got

Thanks for the input guys. You don't think I can get away with one gyre on the back glass? Any negative on that? Some people say 2 MP40s on each end of a 60-72 inch tank is fine. Others say not enough... Hrmmm.

You guys are talking about the Maxspect Gyre XF 350 ?

Strange. The Icecap module worked with the 250s.

I only said what I said because slapping a gyre on the back and pushing to the front is going to limit you in the power of the gyre. 26 inches is a short push......especially for the 350. That and it is only going to push a narrow stream of water.....a little wider than the gyre. It would be way more beneficial to push it from the side. Maybe it wouldn’t be that bad with the 40s hitting that stream from the sides. Either way you probably won’t be able to much above 30 to 40 percent on the gyre if that.
