I have two jebao Rw 4 with capacity of 1000 gph flow in my 3ft tank 60 gallons .
Tank is new and with only 3 fishes ( two clownfish ) no corals or cuc .
All my fishes are juvenile , LFS that sold me the fishes has advised to run only one powerhead at 50% as per him fish would be stressed if high flow .
Issue is my two clownfish poo in a same spot everytime and it's settling on sand .
Should I increase the flow or let the detritus settle at a particular place then syphon every 14 days when WC.
Thanks in advance

I would say that if you have rock in your tank, there should always be a place for the fish to get out of almost all flow. I would take this time to get a CUC and fine tune your powerheads so detritus doesn't settle. Are you certain the fish use the same spot in your tank to leave waste or is that maybe just where detritus settles because there's no flow there?

That spot is where the two clownfish spend Thier night I find every morning in same spot so yes

two ways I guess. Nice to have an eddy where crud accumulates for easy removal . On the other hand more flow in that corner will blow it up into the water or scatter collect in several places. I like being able to get to it easily.

Will increasing flow stress juvenile fishes ?
