I have a 15 gallon tank with a marineland canister filter that is rated for up to 30 gallons. (This does create a little flow) I have been wanting to increase flow with a powerhead, but I have no idea what to get. I want something that has an adjustable flow rate as well. Any suggestions? Thanks everybody!

Sorry I always confuse those numbers. Yes the smallest one they have... Good catch ;)

PS: you can always drop the voltage supplied to the pump from 24v to 15 or so and it will tame a lot. Now why would you pay more to then choke it down only a weirdo like me would do that ;)

also look at the newest gyre model (I think its the 1000). I have a gyre and really like it

I had 2 koralia 420 pumps on my 25 gallon aio softie and LPS tank with great results. I would think 1 would be good for you or 2 of the smaller 240 to mix up flow. Plus they are only like 25 dollars on amazon

+1 on the Koralia 420. I have a 14gal bio cube and had a pp4 in it. To much even on low.. got the 420 and set the dial half way and was set plus there super cheap on amazon.

You think? Seems like it makes more than enough flow for a biocube in mine. I had 2 and took one out

Yes, lots of flow in a small package. It's so cute! Really nice for a small tank.

I have two PP8s in my 120g and they are noticeably bigger in size.

Ahhh I thought you were meaning it wasn't enough. I was thinking it must be a hurricane in your tank haha
