Hi fellow reef keepers!

I’ve recently purchased a D-D professional complete 20W uv steriliser to get my water looking clearer. I will also like to run it to prevent that pesky whitespot!

I chose this unit for that fact that the 20W Model is equivalent to a conventional 40W.

I always quarantine new fish before adding them to my tank and treat with copper if needed. But that extra bit of piece of mind in the shape of a uv will help me sleep easy!

So here’s my question...

What is the correct flow rate needed for the uv? I have a 650L reef system including sump.

Any help will be be greatly received!

  • Algae & Bacteria Water Flow Rate: 219GPH/356GPH (Suggested*/Maximum)
  • Protozoa Bacteria Water Flow Rate: 37GPH/60GPH (Suggested*/Maximum)

Thanks! I take it that’s an imperial gallon? I’m a metric man
