Hi,

I'm trying to find information about the flow of the XF 250. Advanced aquaritics reviewed the old generation but not the 200 series. At 100% the flow seems to be 5300g but at 10, 20 or 30, have you got an idea or informations ? Thansk for your answers

I don't know exact numbers , but I have the xf 250 on a 75 gallon. anything above 10% coral tissue holds on for dear life. I cant enjoy what this pump has to offer as far as programming . I will be down grading to the 230 soon. My thoughts were having the bigger pump and turn it down to help with any noise issues of the pump winding up or down , this thing moves a ton of water even at 10%.

I don't think it varied a huge amount between the xf150 and 250. I would just use those values at advanced aquarist found for the 150. I think mostly the durability improved and mounting, not power.

The 150 was rated 5,000gph, the 250 5,300. Not much change.

Thanks. I've got 2 in a 75G on each side of the tank. They run at 10% for 30s alternaly. I think you should keep you 250 and run at low level. It offers a large flow in the tank.

I have two of the Xf250's in my 4ft tank at opposite ends. I keep mine at 30% and will for a max of 2-3 hrs run it up on the Lunar Tidal Cycle and I find my sand moved around from under my rocks in certain areas due to the flow. Having 2 is way more than I need in a 4 ft tank with my SPS and few Zoas and Acans I have.
