Hi, i bought a wave pump but its kinda strong. I was wondering if I can turn it off during the day so i can see my xenia pulse, and then turn it on at night. Will this be fine if other corals are in the tank? Also, does the pump have to be on all day instead?

It should be on day and night. Flow makes fish and corals happy, removes detritus from surfaces, and surface agitation from said flow will oxygenate your water

Strong flow is fine as long as it isn't crazy strong. In that case you'll need a smaller pump (assuming that one can't be dialed down)

You can also move the Xenia to a low flow spot in the tank. Position the wave maker differently or build them a spot with some rock work that breaks the flow a bit??

The xenia Will pulse just fine in medium flow. Maybe try putting a nem guard on your powerhead?? I’ve heard a lot about those things lowering the flow. It can’t be turned down at all?

That sunsun pump can be used in your water change bucket, for a cheap pump for your tank I'd grab a hydor koralia pump

is that adjustable for flow?
No but they are nice budget friendly pumps, just get the right size for your tank! For adjustable pumps I believe jebao (like you said) is cheaper than most but I can't comment on their reliability

My sunsuns lasted 2 weeks before breaking, both within days their trash. I would get a lower power one but to answer your question flow needs to be 24/7/365
