Hi, I'm very slowly working on a build, with a tank that is 7' long, 2' wide, and 4' high. It is made of 1" acrylic.

I'm planning on a mixed reef.

Would two vortech mp60 powerheads be enough flow?
Should I consider drilling the back of the tank for a closed loop?

Thanks,

AJ

Those would be more than enough flow. I would say that two mp 40s would even do the job, those pumps move a ton of water, not only in the flow but they also cause and amazing under toe that doubles for flow.

Thanks for the input! I wonder if two on one end would work well or if I should keep one on each end?
