Flow options

So in my 21 gallon reefer nano I have a sicce syncra 3.0 which I estimate the head flow to be about 520 gph. I’m finding this to be too much flow as my shrooms on the floor of the tank are not appreciating the amount of flow they’re getting.

My question is, should I switch it up and get a smaller pump, or get a split rfg like this one?

You could split it and use those random flow generators on the ends. My Nuvo 20 runs a 325 gph or so pump and it is just right split between 2 returns. I like the 2 returns, so even if you have to switch out the pump, 2 returns are nice to have.
