Flow placement and direction

I have 1 Hyksos koralia 240 Aquarian pump at 240 gph. I only have one right now in a 37 gallon tank. I just am wondering which direction and where the best placement is for it until I get another one!

I have to black widow bubble tips
Green star polyops
Fuzzy mushroom, and watermelon mushroom

Point the flow across the top of the tank so the current makes a gyre if you can. Surface disruption increases oxygen in the tank, . It also increases evaporation so make sure you have plenty of RODI ready to top off.

Thank you! Should I have it about 1/3 the way down from the top? Sorry new to setting up flow, and seemed like how low I had it, there was to much pressure on the right side rocks so I wouldn’t be able to put corals Or men’s in the middle or bottom

Direct flow onto corals from a powerhead isn't ideal. I put mine about 3 inches below the surface and aim the flow slightly towards the surface and across the tank. The flow hits the other side and reflects back and downward. The water movement provides good habitat for coral as the flow brings food & oxygen to them and sweeps away waste products, hopefully, to be filtered by the skimmer or socks or liverock.

I have a shallow tank with two powerheads and two returns so the water motion is generally chaotic but routinely active.
