Hey guys, I’m currently setting up my first tank & was wondering where the optimal area to place my powerheads would be. At the moment, I’m contemplating ordering 2 Jebao OW-50 powerheads. I’m concerned these may be too powerful. Is this a good choice & where should I place them? There is a decent amount of space between the rock & the front and back walls of the tank. I attached a pic below of my tank. (I’m getting rid of the powerhead that’s in there atm so won’t have that)
It’s a 90 gallon tank (48x18x24)
The end goal is a mixed reef

These won't be too powerful, showing they have adjustable flow rates. Best bet is to position them on opposite sides, creating turbulent flow when they meet in the middle will be great for corals.

Oh yeah you’re right, forgot it’s adjustable. You think 2 of those are enough to create flow thru my tank without leaving any dead spots?

Just a word of Caution. Those OW-50 are HUGE!!!!! I would get 3 or 4 smaller ones, like ow 20 and get better random flow that way. The OW-50's will stick out like an elephant in a clown car. :)

Yeah I looked up the size because I was thinking they’d be huge. I was thinking of placing them lower & towards the back of the tank where they would be majorly covered by the rock work
