I have a Jebao sw-2 pump I was going to use in the sump’s frag section but it’s running in reverse. Is there a fix for this? I’ve soaked all the parts in citric acid, unplugged and restarted multiple times and googled. Could it be the impeller assembly, motor, controller or power supply?

On AC flow pumps there is often a small "nub" on the cover that barley touches the blade to encourage it to only start in the proper direction. Yours may be worn down. You could try to get it to start by shutting it down and temporarily blocking it from rotating backwards with something like a coffee stir straw. As soon as you turn it back on pull the straw out and it should continue rotating in the proper direction. Once it has started in the correct direction it will continue spinning that way until it looses power. You may need to repeat the process each time it is started again.

I had a sicce voyager running like this for years.

The impeller is push fit onto the blue part, pried it off and put it back on but left a millimetre gap in between. Fixed. Maybe had a tiny gasket that went missing
