I have been trying to get the flow figured out in my new tank (NUVO 20). I have soft corals low in the tank, and would like to have some LPS in the future. Having a hard time determining if I have enough flow, or too much?? I have the Mightyjet 326 GPH return pump (came with the system) on sine mode at about 50% distributed toward the front of the tank from three nozzles. I also have a Jebao SLW-10 on the left side wall of the tank pointing slightly toward the surface. It is set on pulse at about 60%.

I have tried several different settings to try to get as random a flow pattern as I can, and this seems to be ok to me, but I still get some sand movement, mostly from a slight vortex in the lower back left corner.

Any suggestions on improvements with the equipment I have?

I have attached a 30sec video to show flow pattern as best I can, though not sure how well you can see it.

You could possibly try reversing the current items in the picture - like aim one or both of the returns upwards and the powerhead more straight or even slightly downwards? This might not help the sand issue though :grinning-face-with-sweat:
Just was something I thought of lol
