I've got a IM 40 gallon fusion with the new might jet desktop for flow. It's a primarily SPS dominate tank and so I've been running a maxspect gyre ice cap running at 10% lowest amount on constant flow on the tank for the last almost a year since I set it up. The fish I started the tank with have been able to get used to the flow, but any new fish seem to struggle a bit. I put in 2 clowns yesterday and they seem to be swimming pretty quickly to try and keep up.

I'm curious to know what you guys think, the sps love the flow most of the corals do. Do I need the ice cap though? or could everything be ok with just the mighty jet. Or should I look into like an MP 10 for a little bit more flow? I like not taking up space with a powerhead so I don't want one that sticks out a ton.

Thanks and hope everyone is doing well in this time!

I think the gyre is a bit much for a 40. A mp10 should do just nicely.
