I have a rio 2500 return pump at with the pvc bends is at around 700gph with 2 korlia 1950gph powerheads. Is this too much flow? There's no dead spots in the tank and it seems even at the bottom it's too much flow for my frogspawn and torch? They stay semi retracted. Tank is a 90 gallon.

How big is your sump?
Length, diameter of plumbing? How many 45° bends?
How many 90° bend?
How many Ball Valves?
Check Valve on Return Plumbing Line?
Picture or diagram?
Video showing flow in your tank, while feeding flake?

How much Head Pressure at Highest Plumbing Point?

What's pump rating at 4-5ft? GPH?

First we calculate turn over ratio of sump to display gallons!

Then, Add up your "Internal Water Circulation Rating?"

You get a better understanding of Filtration Ratio!
-10x Good( Lots of Live Rock in Display)
-15x-20x Heavy Stocked Reef( More Fish Than Typical Reefers, More Feedings, More Variety of Corals that can Turpine Water Chemistry: Sweeper Tenacles and Chemical Warfare!)

5 ft of pvc with 2 90 degree bends on ball valve and check valve. After all head pressure is accounted for return into tank is at 700gph. With 2 korlias at 1950 gph each.

Got an SPS tank, total water circulation should be high. 50X or more at times. you have around 50. for Euphelia, the high flow if fine, but you dont want it to push them too hard. mine like a steady back and forth flow.
