I have a 220 gallon mixed reef about five years of age, with two mp40s and two Tunze powerhead. Trying to get some better growth out of sps and a more overall healthier tank. Thinking of adding a Gyre pump to give some different flow patterns in the tank. What would you recommend? Thanks, Brian

For gyres if money is no object maxspects are top of line haven’t heard much negative about them. Icecaps gyres are good but have some noise complaints. I have not heard anything about the jebao gyre sorry for the lack of help there.

Ps you’ve got some monster tangs in that tank!

Thanks for help, we are going to upgrading in the near future to a much larger system.

Wow!

All gyres were too loud for my 180 mixed in my living room once I got above 60%, so I replaced with mp40’s and 60’s. They seem to be variable in noise so you might get lucky. If your room is quiet, I would think twice. The flow with gyres is amazing though.

Thanks for the info, I dont know much about the Gyres, great to know about the noise.

I have 2 gyre 230on a 60 Lx30Hx24 w180 at 20 % they give tremendous flow.but the do need frequent maintenance to keep quiet.

Been running an icecap 3k at 90% in my living room reed for 2 months now, no noise to speak of.
