Flow recommendations for 30x18x18 SPS dominated/ bare bottom

Hey reefers looking for flow recommendations for my 42 gallon Cadlights Versa tank. Planning on going bare bottom mixed reef but mainly SPS. I already have a Vortech MP10 but thinking if I should also get an IceCap 3k gyre and add another MP10 or just go with two MP10's. Any other recommendations will be helpful. Thanks!

Vortech recommends only one MP10W for that size tank. If I had a tank like yours I'd go with at least two. One at each end and then sync them so they create a wave.
One seems to work ok for my 33 gal cube but I may get another so I can alternate the flow.

2 pumps on either end. I use 2 MP40s in my 29 gallon standard setup to randomize throughout the day on anti-sync.

I used 2 MP10s on either end my SPS dominant Biocube 29 running reefcrest on antisync. Very nice, random flow. Worked very well for me.

I got a wQD for free from a Marine Depot contest and bought a wES for $175.00 so I can't complain. I just turn them down and they'll be ready for my upgrade later this or next year.
