I am wanting to control flow through my UV and understand that flow can change over time. So the best way to gauge this without taking the plumbing apart and using a stopwatch and 5 gallon bucket would be a flow meter/sensor.

Other then the Neptune system, is there a flow meter/sensor that also is being used in the reef community that you can recommend? Want this to be used inline, so i don't have to mess with it once installed?

TIA

All hobby flow meters aren’t great honestly, Neptune or ghl will be your options. Otherwise get a dc pump and estimate the flow based of max gph

Agreed. Hobby flow sensors leave a lot to be desired. Estimations are equally inconsistent and therefore the same thing from my experience. *yes, I ran a flow sensor on my uv for several years, no it did not provide me with any useful information over that time.
