Flow ?

I recently bought 2 maxspect gyres F350s.
My tank is 5ft and 550 litres in total. But I feel the gyres aren’t strong enough surface movement is minimal? I’ve tried them at 100% still don’t seem right currently using the table below but 20% higher at each stage.
Any ideas? If the flow looks fine or should be fine?

This is when I intially bought it, following the exact %’s as the table above. See the water flow at 40 seconds, was a lot better. Now it’s 20% higher and still doesn’t feel as powerful as when I first got them

will take another vid tomorrow do the coral

I have a 6 foot tank and one Maxspect Gyre 350 and it pushes so much water I have to dial it down between 40% and 50%. If I don’t, I won’t have any sand left at one end of the tank.

Something is definitely wrong. I have mine set at a constant rate. Are you using a preset program or a low pulse mode?

What in earth see the difference il take a picture now they’re both set to 70% random mode in a 5ft tank

Maybe try clearing out your programming and just start with a simple constant flow. Nothing fancy.

Il be honest it doesn’t look too bad here but this is the highest the gyres go from 0:00 to 6am...
However if you see the middle section the water just looks stagnant

Yeah might try that, however I really liked the idea of having changing flow patterns instead of constant one just to mimic the ocean, worked for the first month then not sure what happened

Here’s the video from today
Currently Gyre A set to 60-10 pulse mode and gyre B 50-10 anti sync to Gyre A

as you can see in the video the flow is minimal.

Yet the flow doesn’t seem that much?? Still a stagnant bit in the middle compared to how others have shown me their gyres?

Call their Tech support. It’s hard to believe that both your gyres aren’t running strong. One maybe, but both seems like a stretch. Has to be something in the programming.

Pretty sure when I first got them they were perfect as 50% had my tank doing tsunamis, I’m going to give them a clean today and try again if not I’ll contact support. Thanks

Cleaned the gyres and they’re back at full power even 50% being very powerful well happy, thanks everyone helped.

24 hours later I’ve actually turned the power down to to around 20%-30% throughout the day.
Feel like it’s still too strong? Any suggestions?

Not even 2 weeks and I’m back in the same situation flow isn’t as strong again ahhhh gave them a clean like I did last time and still no luck why does the power reduce after such a little time they weren’t even dirty when I cleaned them started to think I should of just went with some normal power heads

I’m thinking you might have a couple of lemons. Call Maxspect and tell them the problems you’ve been having. Honestly, I’ve been running my gyre since February non-stop. Haven’t even cleaned yet.
