So I have a 6x2x2 rimless tank currently have 4 mp40s was thinking with goin with 2 mp60s instead would this be a good choice have a mixed reef have a little of everything might go with full blown Sps down the line but still not sure figure with the mps on sale might as well take advantage

I have the same tank with 4 MP40s as well. Full sps tank. I chose the 4 mp40's vs 2 mp60's because I like the ability to control 4 flow sources vs 2.

How do you have yours on your tank as far as placement

I have the same length and height just wider, I run 3 MP40's on one end and an MP60 on the opposite end. Likely will remove the MP60 and replace with another MP40 and have 2 and 2. I honestly find the MP60 too much for the tank and never run it past 30%, that said the MP40 units never exceed 50%.

Currently mixed, mostly SPS, lots of Goni on the bottom and several leathers (lavender, nepthia, long tentacle).

So would it be best 2 run 2 on each side or 1 on each side and 1 on each side opposite of the over flow

How do you have yours on your tank as far as placement

I have 2 on the left side and 2 on the right side. one high and one low.

cant put them due to my grandson bad enough he opens the sump and equipment compartment ill figure it out thnks for the advice
