I just bought my first anemone and lo and behold they sent me 3! One is small, the second looks like it has two heads and mouths, and the third is big. On the second I noticed the foot is lumpy and really small at the base. I was wondering if this was some kind of deformity or type of anemone meiosis? It has crossed my mind that it is some weird infection. I'd hate to put him in my display only to find out everything is contaminated. I put them in this box so you may see them easily. Any thoughts or experiences?

It's EXTREMELY rare for a RFA to have 2 mouths... but I have seen 2 others at a wholesalers that collects them by the thousands. And he wouldn't sell them, even for $1000! BTW, just for info sake, RFAs do not split like BTAs do.

Your photo is kind of rough looking. And chance you can get better pics?

If you change out some of the water 2 or 3 times a day, or if you put a small pump in that 'box' you can keep those RFAs for days and even several weeks before you move them into your DT.

If you are new to RFAs, you might want to look over this thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/ron-reefmans-rock-flower-experience.409436/

Good luck.
