Flower Growth on Sinularia

I got this neon green sinularia about a week ago. It is doing great. Opened up about twice what it was in the LFS. I've been watching it closely and noticed some interesting small growth around the base near the top of the "fiberous" looking stuff. It looks like it is growing on the tip of some of the fibers. Anyone know what this is? Is this some sort of pest or spawning thing. It looks cool.

It looks like some mini feather dusters but it could be hydroids...
