I recently saw a small tank at my LFS containing flower nems and I fell in love with it. Being home for quarantine I decided to start a very simple flower nem nano. I purchased the tank last night and it should be coming Thursday. If you have kept any flower anemones in the past let me know what you found to be helpful when keeping them! Follow along if you're interested!

Equipment:
Tank petco AIO 6.8 gallon
Heater: Any small 50w heater I can find
Light: Aquaknight A029 30w
ATO: Reefbreeders prism
Return Pump: Stock pump but heard its crap so may use my extra hydor nano

Livestock:
2-3 pom pom crabs or 5-6 sexy shrimp
3 Turbo snails
10 flower nems (depending on size)
Maybe one rose bubble tip in the future
1 wyoming white clown

I love flower nems!have many including babies! Search some of ronreefmans threads and you'll learn all you need for thier care. They're very easy to grow and propagate. And oh so beautiful!
I'd only suggest to maybe just stick to inverts or maybe some small gobies but even one clown probably won't be happy in a tank that small.

Thank you for your help, I built the rock scape about two days ago added dr tims one and only and now Im just letting it cycle. Will post pictures later!

They are beautiful. And as @reef lover stated... they are pretty easy to maintain.

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Here is the scape right before cycling started. Obviously much more dirty now. Really trying to figure out how to keep the black sand black, I know its not going to happen so hopefully the nems will cover the sand bed. I just bought a couple Jebao sw2 pumps, will use one for this tank as the filtration isnt the strongest and I can see ALOT of possible dead spots for detritus to build up. And suggestions on where to put the pump?

I set up a RFA breeding tank about 3 months ago. It's 16g and a DIY build. I just use a HOB filter and an in-tank skimmer and good leds.

I've kept RFAs for many years and have had 3 rounds of babies over the last few years. I set this tank up and moved most of my RFAs from the DT to this one. Over the last month I've had 5 different nems spawn. the first 2 were 30 days ago, then 2 more 21 days ag and finally one more 12 days ago. Now we are waiting and hoping to have babies.

This is my old DT with many of the same RFAs at the front as in the new breeder tank.

Look over this thread for lots of good RFA information. Feel free to add to or just jump in and tell us about your new tank!

Thats awesome! I see your RFA are getting some decent flow in your 16g, Im assuming I wont have to worry with blasting these guys with flow? As I said above I just bought the smallest jebao I could find but even with that I was worried it would be too strong on a low setting

The pumps I have in there are small and most of the flow is aimed at the surface to keep the water oxygenated and stirred. You should be fine.
