I am starting a fluconazol treatment on my 4 year old 125 gallon mixed reef tomorrow. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous. I've never been a big proponent of chemical treatments or additives, but this is just getting away from me.
I've done extensive research, and there are a lot of really positive results, and a few horror stories. I intend to manually remove as much as possible before starting the treatment, change socks often, and continue to remove anything I can throughout the treatment to avoid drastic increases in nitrate and phosphate.
I also have a reserve supply of RO/DI water and carbon at the ready in case things start to go south for my coral and I need to put the brakes on and do a major water change. Cautiously optimistic. Wish me luck.
