leave the light on normal schedule or reduce it significantly to help the treatment faster?

Leave your lights on normal schedule. The algae under the lights will die off faster than shaded areas.

As the algae weakens, remove manually to avoid adding more nutrients to the tank.

Have performed treatment twice , on 2 seperate systems over past year , absolutely effective !
Both times complete removal of Bryopsis and most GHA , no ill effects to anything fish,Corals , Inverts ect.
Better results with longer treatment session my second time on system #2. ( Skimmer off, no carbon = longer session )
