Fluconaze -Do you need a Prescription?

I am tired of fighting gha. A number of threads mentioned Fluconazole, but where can you get it? I tried a few sites and they all want a prescription at checkout. Do you need to see a vet and convince them to prescribe it, or is there somewhere you can get it without a prescription? Thanks!

It is definitely prescription and as far as I have always understand is an antifungal most commonly prescribed for yeast issues. Never heard of using it on algae. I have no algae issues lately but would be very interested to know how this works out for you if you do end up going this route.

You don't need a prescription. Google search Fish Fluconazole, there are many places out there that sell it.

It is an antifungal that works magic against Bryopsis. They are accessible under “fish fluconazole”

So I just ordered it without a prescription after the help from reefers on this thread. I’ll post again on the results using it for GHA

Was not trying to misinform anyone I had not found a way to get it without prescription to this thread. Needed it for other reasons than the hobby never occurred to me to check fish aquatic medications.
