I am having a bryopis outbreak and want to start fluconazole before this stuff gets out of control. The issue is that I will be away for 4 days. Anyone see an issue of adding the fluconazole and let it start doing its thing or should I wait till I get back next week?

Personally I don't but remember this treatment is an at your own risk treatment. Because it is still in experimental stages. I really really hope that you read the whole bryopsis thread so that you know all the do's and don'ts and what could work and what might not.

Yes I have read all the threads. Based on what I have read it seems to be a pretty safe med. I just wanted to be sure I was not missing something

Okay just make sure that you're not running purigen, skimmer all the way down with cup off or turned off. You can run your gfo if you like. Be sure to pull any heavy areas before you dose and dose it in a high-flow area at night. Be sure you mix it well in salt water before you put it in your tank by the way. Have fun on your vacation!

I dosed bryopsis and went for a vacation. When I came back the bryopsis totally disappeared! But be prepared to get alot of dinos as the bryopsis will break down inside the tank.

I had no issue thank heaven. Dropped it in went away. The nasty crud was gone in 2 weeks. I was lucky No Dino's. I did also dose vibrant at the same time.

I am at 14 days from a 1 dose treatment for bryopsis and I have to say it worked great. At day 7 I did some rescaping and exposed some bryopsis hiding from the light. Once exposed it died back. I had no ill effect on coral, fish or even macro algae

Should I remove my bio plastics while using fluconozole.

Did you keep your bio plastic reactor on line
