I have a pretty bad outbreak of GHA and recently started a treatment of fluconazole. I have a 60 gallon total water setup and used 6 of those 200mg capsules. I'm on day 4 and it looks like the algae is starting to lose its hold and is coming off the rocks easier and what not. My question is do I just leave the stuff to do it's work or do I need to start pulling out the GHA. To me it seems it's not working very fast. Also is it safe to up the dosage? Here's a pic of what I'm dealing with.

Give it time.. pull out what you can... Stuff works.. I had a bad break out a while back and this stuff took care of it.

Think my dose is good, or should I up it? How long did it take for you?

It takes about two weeks to kill bryopsis, and about a month to kill GHA. Keep an eye on your alk/calc consumption as they will likely decrease quite a bit during treatment. If you have SPS, especially acropora, keep a VERY close eye on them.

As others have said, you got to give it time. It works, but it isn't going to do it in 4 days. But I would pull out as much of GHA by hand as you can, it seemed to help speed mine up.
