Hello, I treated my 120/+sump with fluconazole 2000mg which treats 100 gallons, I estimate my total volume at 110-120 gallons of water. I shut the skimmer off for 4-5 days, removed my chaeto, and all filtration except the filter socks per instructions for 14 days which ended on the 19th of June. I don't know if I didn't use enough med or I didn't apply it correctly, but I still have a lot of turf/bryopsis algae, I guess my question is can I retreat with fluconazole again now, and can I up the dose to say 2500mg. Any help will be much appreciated.

It is safe with chaeto from my experience. From my understanding it is caulerpa that causes the problem.

It won't touch turf but it should kill bryopsis. I haven't tried it with a skimmer so I can't say if that would have any effect. If you want to dose again, try running some carbon for a little and then redose just to make sure it is out of the system

I am not sure how much overdose is safe but I would contact the manufacturer to double check.

If the bryopsys wasn’t gone in 7 days then you didn’t give it enough of a dose. Add some more. It’s not gonna get rid of your other algae’s but the bryopsys will all be gone.
