Fluconazole

hey everyone,
I am treating my tank with fluconazole for hair algae, and was told to turn my skimmer off but not for how long, ie the whole 14 days or only a day or two. Can someone please help as i am on my second day ov treatment. Oh also no signs ov retreat from the dreaded hair algae yet, but high hopes

Buy some Tangs, algae Blenies, Emerald crabs all work. Use chemicals as a last resort
